From People Who Have Been Through the Work
Lim Hui Shan
Operations Manager · Kota Kinabalu
The booklet arrived in January and I worked through the first two sections in an afternoon. What I found useful was not any single piece of advice but the way it kept the management calendar visible. By April I had already had three conversations I'd been putting off. Worth the subscription for that alone.

General Manager · Petaling Jaya
We brought Wovenly in to help us sort out the working relationship between our KL and Kota Kinabalu offices. The setup document they produced was the first time anyone had actually written down how we wanted things to work. There are still things we're adjusting, but we have a shared starting point now, which we didn't before.

Nur Atiqah Mahmud
HR Director · Sandakan
Ahmad facilitated our senior team off-site in February and handled a room that had some real undercurrents very calmly. The interviews beforehand were what made it work — by the time we were all together, he already knew what needed to be on the table. The written summary was clear and we've returned to it several times since.

Tan Chee Wai
Managing Director · Kuching
What I appreciate about Wovenly's approach is that they do not oversell what they're offering. Before we committed to the off-site, Nurul was straightforward about what two days can and can't achieve. That honesty made it easier to invest in the process. The output was genuinely useful.

Team Lead · Kota Kinabalu
I subscribed to the booklet after a recommendation from a colleague. The mid-year check-in section was the most directly useful part for me — I used the sample wording almost word for word in a difficult conversation with a long-serving team member. The Q&A session in July was also worth attending.

We manage teams across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. The cross-office consulting engagement helped us put structure around something that had been informal and uneven for years. The workshop was efficient — we covered a lot in three hours — and the document they left us is something we actually reference.

Three Engagements, Described
A Manager Navigating Year-End Reviews for the First Time
Situation
A team leader at a logistics firm in Kota Kinabalu had recently been promoted and was facing her first formal performance review cycle. She had no HR background and found the company's standard templates unhelpful.
What We Did
She subscribed to the Annual Cycle Companion and worked through the year-end section with her own team in mind. She attended the October Q&A session and submitted two questions in advance, both of which were addressed during the session.
Outcome
She completed four individual review conversations within the company's cycle, on time. She noted that having written examples to draw on reduced the time she spent preparing for each conversation and gave her more confidence in how she framed her feedback.
Two Offices That Had Drifted Apart Over Three Years
Situation
A professional services firm with offices in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu found that over three years the two teams had developed quite different working cultures, meeting habits, and even different interpretations of the same company policies.
What We Did
Wovenly conducted conversations with eight people across both offices, then produced a setup document addressing meeting cadence, document standards, how the leadership team communicated across sites, and a proposal for how internal information should flow. A half-day workshop followed.
Outcome
Both offices adopted the proposed meeting rhythm within six weeks. The document became the basis for onboarding new hires at both locations. The managing director noted that the workshop itself surfaced a disagreement that had been unspoken for over a year.
A Senior Team Preparing for a Leadership Transition
Situation
A family-owned business in Sabah was preparing for a founder to step back from day-to-day operations. The senior team of nine people had not worked through what that transition meant for how they would make decisions together going forward.
What We Did
Wovenly conducted individual pre-event interviews with all nine participants over two weeks, then built an agenda around three questions that emerged consistently. The two-day off-site was held at a resort near Kundasang. Facilitation included structured discussion, small group work, and time for informal conversation.
Outcome
The team agreed a revised decision-making structure and identified three areas where role clarity had been lacking. The written summary was circulated internally and formed part of the founder's handover documentation. The transition itself proceeded over six months without significant disruption.
